Designing covers is probably one of the most difficult and time-consuming disciplines in publishing: trying to please a whole team of people, while keeping the design concept intact is never easy. I have designed hundreds of covers over the years - they have all had their challenges, and they all finally give me great pleasure when I spot them on the shelves of shops and friends' bookcases.
